Kim joined the UNSW RNA Institute in June 2024 and is responsible for encapsulating RNA into lipid nanoparticles for biomedical applications. Kim earned a Bachelor of Advanced Science (Honours) with a major in Chemistry in 2019, followed by a Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry in 2024. With extensive experience in synthesising and optimising nanoparticles, Kim specialises in tailoring nanoparticle synthesis and surface modifications to enhance biological functionality.
In her free time, she enjoys occasional trips to the beach with her dogs and watching crime and mystery TV shows. She is also a big fan of Harry Potter and detective novels.
